DoorDash (DASH), TKO Group (TKO), Williams-Sonoma (WSM) and Expand Energy (EXE) will join the S&P 500 index as part of a quarterly rebalance, S&P Dow Jones Indices announced Friday night. AppLovin (APP), one of the hottest stocks of 2024, was a notable snub.

DASH stock jumped Friday night, signaling a move back above the 50-day line. TKO stock, Williams-Sonoma and Expand Energy rose as well. AppLovin stock fell solidly.

DoorDash, TKO, Williams-Sonoma and Expand Energy will replace Borgwarner (BWA), Teleflex (TFX), Celanese Corp. (CE) and FMC Corp. (FMC) before the open on March 24. The latter four stocks which will drop down to the S&P SmallCap 600.

VF Corp. (VFC), Alaska Air (ALK) and Hims & Hers Health (HIMS), will replace TKO, Williams-Sonoma and Expand Energy in the S&P MidCap 400.

 Shares of Aerospace/defense giant RTX (RTX), formerly Raytheon, hit an all-time high on March 3. They continue to trade near that level. RTX joined the IBD Big Cap 20 Friday, along with Corning (GLW), which makes optical fiber for telecom products and LCDs, among other things.
